At the Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC they really know their stuff when it comes to food - and decor for that matter. The Pendigo Restaurant is modern, stylish and vibrant with predominately red carpet and chairs, giving a warm and comfortable feel.
On the mezzanine floor, overlooking the peaceful Pendigo Lake, the restaurant serves a sumptuous choice of dishes. Our advice, other than making the most of your overnight stay, is to allow yourself plenty of time to choose your preferred dish - it may take a while. Choose from roasted vegetables, rosemary oil and pine nuts or hot smoked salmon with dill hollandaise to start. For your main you can have braised shin of beef with roasted winter vegetables, steamed mussels in a white wine sauce served with country style bread or lamb shank with garlic mash and rosemary and lemon thyme jus. If you have room after this, you can finish with rhubarb and apple crumble with vanilla custard or creme brulee and sugared fruits.
Dinner is served from 6.30pm and last orders are at 10.15pm all week.
You can add a three-course dinner to your overnight stay you book through Holiday Extras.
The swish feel doesn't just stop in the Pendigo Restaurant, it carries on to the bar and lounge area too, which is open from 7am till late every day. The bar is huge, with plenty of choice and space to watch the world go by. Bar snacks are served from 11.30am till the bar closes. Marinated chicken burger with chips and salad, prawn noodle salad, hot and cold deli sandwiches, lighter bites and side orders are just a few things available.
