Dining With its exposed oak beams, model aeroplanes and friendly locals, the Ash pub, where food is served, will charm you even before you look at the menu. But when you do, you'll see why those friendly locals keep coming here again and again. How about homemade salmon, roasted pepper and tarragon fishcakes with sweet chilli sauce as a starter, followed by chicken and leek pie with mashed potato and garden peas - and then, no matter how full you are, sherry trifle for dessert. If it's fine, you'll be able to eat outside on the terrace. Food is served from Monday to Thursday from 11am to 9.30pm, and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 10pm. A breakfast menu is available from 11am to noon, and the full menu is available after that. Prices for breakfast range from £2.50 to £7.95.
Check-in
The earliest check-in time is 2pm and the latest check-out time is 10am. The hotel reception is in The Ash, the pub opposite. You must check in before 10.30pm.
 Directions
Leave the M11 at junction 8 and follow signs for Stansted airport. At the first roundabout, turn left and follow signs for the Long Stay car park. Go straight on at the second and third roundabouts. You will see the Long Stay car park on your left. Keep going straight on for about two miles until you reach Burton End. On the right you will see a thatched pub called The Ash. The hotel is opposite. Please go into The Ash to check in. If you're not driving to the hotel, you can get the train to Stansted airport and then a taxi to the Warmans Barn, which will cost about £10
